Giving back is the backbone and foundation of NApostol. In fact, the idea of NApostol as a brand was at first a concept to make a platform to the owner's personal organization, Project: Broken and Beautiful. The brand first made its debut at the 2014 St. Jude Children's Research Hospital Celebrity Poker Tournament. Ever since then, designer Nessa Apostol has been frequently involved in her philanthropic passion. She has donated volunteer time and auction items to charities such as: St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, Discovery Children's Museum, K9 International Rescue Association, St. Viator Catholic School of Las Vegas, Feed the Children of Los Cabos, Arturo Camber Elementary School & Awareness is Prevention among many others!
Growing up in a Missionary family, giving back and volunteering was a huge part of Nessa's life. She grew up feeding the homeless, volunteering at hospitals and at 19 she moved abroad to apprentice midwives and deliver babies in a poor village in the Philippines. Today she gives back by physically volunteering or raising money through her gowns.
"I've seen too much to not do anything about the issues in the world. Whether it be hunger, poverty, sexual abuse, discrimination, cancer or our country's educational issues, I feel not only my hearts longing to give back, but an OBLIGATION to it. 'Only YOU can be the source of change.' I may not be able to save the world, but I can change someone's outlook on life with an act of kindness, or inspire others and continue the ripple. The fact that I can give back using my brand as a tool to not only bring awareness to each charity through my brand but also raise money with each gown feels like this is what I'm meant to do. In a way my gowns were made to not only empower the women who wear them but the people that we support through our charities."
